First, of I think that means that he destroys someone when his enemy least expects it by befriending him. .Second of all if you make your enemy your friend you will probably get to know him better, And if you know your enemy better there is a better chance of destroying him because you know his strengths and weaknesses. Third of all when you make your enemy a friend the enemy might become more of a friend than an enemy meaning that he will go easy on you.
